Meet Karen.
I live in North Carolina with my wonderful husband, without whom I'd be lost. We have 4 amazing children and a flat coated retriever who fill the house with joy and laughter.
I've been a runner since as long as I can remember. I ran my first race when I was 7, ran my first marathon at 20 and didn't get injured until after my 40th birthday. Since then, it's been one injury after another. You name it, I've had it: plantar fasciitis, hamstring tears, calf strain, hip pain, concussions, ankle sprains.... Frustration has set in and I am looking for a change. I need to find a way to be able to continue doing what I love, without being sidelined with injuries.
That's what this is all about -- I will do whatever it takes to get back on the road and stay there. Even if it means less running, and more of something else.
Karen is a proud Oiselle Volee runner and a Brooks Endorsed athlete.
